Rząd Japonii opublikował raport na temat tendencji demograficznych. Z danych wynika, że populacja Kraju Kwitnącej Wiśni zmierza ku wymarciu. Optymizmem nie napawają również analizy amerykańskiego urzędu statystycznego Population Reference Bureau. Pokazują one, że Japonia to kraj o najbardziej gwałtownym spadku liczby ludności.
Rząd Japonii przed kilkoma dniami opublikował raport na temat obserwowanych w kraju tendencji demograficznych. Jak wynika z rządowego dokumentu w 2012 r. odnotowano największy spadek liczby ludności od czasu wprowadzenia obowiązkowej ewidencji, czyli od 1950 roku.
Wystarczył jeden rok by w Japonii ubyło ponad 280 tys. osób! Depopulację powoduje mała liczba urodzeń, od dawna znacznie poniżej poziomu prostej zastępowalności pokoleń, w połączeniu z coraz większą liczbą zgonów.
Raport ujawnił, że w 40. ze wszystkich 47. japońskich prefektur odnotowano spadek liczby ludności. Najwyższy ubytek – 1,41 proc – miał miejsce w Fukushimie, dotkniętej katastrofą nuklearną i tsunami.
Rządowy dokument potwierdził, że japońskie społeczeństwo doświadcza tzw. podwójnego starzenia się. Liczba osób w wieku powyżej 65. roku życia przekroczyła już 30 mln. Oznacza to, że seniorzy stanowią 24 proc. całej populacji kraju. Co więcej, w minionym roku liczba osób starszych przewyższyła liczbę dzieci poniżej 14. roku życia.
Co więcej rokowania są bardzo złe. Wskaźnik dzietności wynosi zaledwie 1,1 dziecka na kobietę w wieku rozrodczym, a jego wielkość, co gorsza, nadal spada.
W związku z krytyczną sytuacją japońscy demografowie szacują, że za niecałe 50 lat osoby w wieku lat 65 i więcej będą stanowiły około 40 proc. społeczeństwa. Osoby w wieku produkcyjnym, po raz pierwszy w historii Japonii, będą stanowiły poniżej 50 proc. populacji. Oznacza to już społeczno – demograficzną katastrofę!
