Na łamach lipcowego numeru miesięcznika „Egzorcysta”, psycholog i egzorcysta ks. dr Mirosław Nowosielski, definiuje hipnozę „jako poddanie się zewnętrznym siłom, wpływ innej osoby na osobowość człowieka, na jego świadomość, władze zmysłowe itp.” Zdaniem księdza Nowosielskiego hipnoza jest niedopuszczalna, bo opiera się na manipulowaniu osobą hipnotyzowaną i może być niebezpieczna dla zdrowia psychicznego osoby hipnotyzowanej.
W wywiadzie udzielonym redakcji miesięcznika, psycholog i konsultant warszawskich egzorcystów – Andrzej Mielecki stwierdził, że wielość teorii co do tego czym jest hipnoza oznacza, że nauka nie jest w stanie wyjaśnić jednoznacznie charakteru tego zjawiska.

W swoim tekście o hipnozie, psycholog Tomasz Adam Zbrzeżny ujawnił, że na hipnozę bardziej podatne są: kobiety, dzieci w wieku od 9 do 12 lat oraz 30% populacji. Adam Zbrzeżny ujawnił również, że 40% populacji ma niską podatność na hipnozę.
W swym artykule Tomasz Zbrzeżny do pozytywnych skutków hipnozy zaliczył: wykorzystywanie hipnozy w anestezjologii gdy pacjent jest uczulony na środki chemiczne; łagodzenie stresu; sprawianie, że pacjent subiektywnie odczuwa, że czas wolniej biegnie; osłabienie uczucia przykrości i bólu które uniemożliwia pacjentowi normalne funkcjonowanie (np. łagodzenie fobii); zwiększanie tolerancji na nielubiane doświadczenia; łatwiejsze zasypanie.
Pisząc o hipnozie, Tomasz Zbrzeżny opisał też takie zjawiska jak: ksenoglosja (polegająca na tym, że zahipnotyzowany mówi językiem, którego nie pamięta, a z którym zetknął się w dzieciństwie); objawy fizycznej regresji (u zahipnotyzowanego pod wpływem wspomnień pojawiają się fizyczne rany, w miejscach gdzie miał w przeszłości urazy); kryptomnezja (mózg ma rzekomo zapamiętywać wszystko nieświadomie); sugestia post-hipnotyczna (zahipnotyzowany po przebudzeniu wykonuje polecenia hipnotyzera wypowiedziane w transie), niepamięć hipnotyczna (polegająca na częściowym lub całkowitym braku pamięci o tym co się działo w czasie hipnozy, samoistna lub narzucona przez hipnotyzera).
